Schiphol Shopper
  [ QuickScan ]
The VHK Quick-Scan offers you an on site analysis of the physical and logistic consequences of the introduction of any airside trolley in your own terminal.

We offer a contract with attractive consultancy rates, to assist you in identifying and solving the specific physical and operational barriers in your terminal lay-out.

The Quick-Scan consists of the following 3 steps:

1. Analysis terminal logistics

The following issues will be addressed here:

  • Terminal lay-out
  • Infra-structure
  • Passenger flow (statistical data to be provided by airport-operator)
  • Lay-out of shops / shopping centres

2. Consequences of trolley introduction

This step analyses the consequences of introducing airside trolleys into your terminal and into your existing operational processes. It identifies the operational and physical barriers, but also the possibilities for levelling out these barriers. Preliminary solutions for identified barriers are described here, together with an indication of the related investments.

3. Recommendations

The Quick-Scan will be concluded with a report, containing recommendations on:

  • Amount of trolleys to be introduced
  • Adjustments to infra-structure
  • Trolley regulation process

Finally a tailored cost-benefit analysis is drawn up, in consultation with your terminal service manager and retail manager.
